Built-in far-field microphone

No TV mic

This model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.

What a far-field mic does →

Panasonic UK's specifications for the TV-55W95BEB give Alexa as "Y (Press & ask)", not the "Y (Hands-free)" its Z90B pages give, and list no microphone or far-field voice row. The product page calls the set "Panasonic TV Premium with Fire TV built-in" but describes voice as "Just press and ask Alexa". Panasonic's product information sheet for the TV-55W95BEB and TV-55W95BEG also says "Voice recognition sensor available: No", so the maker's specifications and the EU sheet agree. Panasonic's February 2026 UK line-up announcement links far-field voice control to "Panasonic TV Premium with Fire TV", but it covers the 2026 range and doesn't name the W95B. Checked 23 Oct 2026.

ACR settings: Automatic Content Recognition, Device Usage Data, Collect App Usage Data and Broadcast Live TV Data (UK).

Fire TV shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗

Fire TV settings guide: ACR and ads on every brand's Fire TV models → It lists them once for every model with this software. Software updates can reset these settings, so check again after an update.
