Built-in far-field microphone

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

Unverified for the US. Samsung's Australian retailer spec sheet lists "Far-Field Voice Interaction: N/A" for The Frame (2025), but Samsung's UK 2024 and 2025 user guides list The Frame among TVs with a microphone switch on the TV. We haven't found a US source that settles it. Checked 19 Oct 2026.

Security vulnerabilities in Tizen

Unverified

Firmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.

What that actually means for your TV →

Samsung's US product pages for The Frame LS03F (55 and 65-inch, checked 6 Nov 2026) don't state an OS upgrade or security update period, so we can't confirm how long this model gets updates. The UK models have their own entry.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has Samsung's ACR feature (branded "Viewing Information Services"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

Samsung's US support article covers its smart TVs in general, not this model by name. Asked "What models of TVs does this apply to?", it answers "All Smart TVs manufactured by Samsung." It says ACR is optional and only runs if you opted in to the Viewing Information Services notice when setting up the TV, or turned it on later in Settings. So the TV has the feature, and Samsung says it's off unless you agree to it. Checked 23 Oct 2026.

Settings for Tizen 9

ACR settings: Viewing Information Services.

Tizen shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗

All Samsung TV settings, by software version → It lists them once for every model with this software. Software updates can reset these settings, so check again after an update.
