Built-in far-field microphone
No TV micThis model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.
Samsung's US specifications list "Bixby: Yes (Voice Ready)" and "Works with AI Speaker: Alexa, Google Assistant", with no "Far-Field Voice Interaction" row (the 43-inch page reads the same). The 2026 M80H page, one tier up, lists "Far-Field Voice Interaction: Yes". Read together, the M70H has no built-in far-field microphone listed. Samsung's UK M70H pages read the same: "Bixby: Yes (Voice Ready)" and no far-field voice row.
Security vulnerabilities in Tizen
SupportedThis model is still receiving firmware/platform updates.
What that actually means for your TV →
Samsung's product page says "Tizen OS upgrades will be supported for up to 7 years starting from 2026, for products released in the year 2026", based on model year and with an internet connection. It also says the upgrade doesn't cover hardware performance, features or durability. Samsung's UK pages give a security update period to 31 December 2031.
Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI
Has ACRThis model has Samsung's ACR feature (branded "Viewing Information Services"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.
What ACR is and how to turn it off →
Samsung's US support article says ACR is optional and only runs if you opted in to the Viewing Information Services notice at setup or later in Settings, and that this applies to all Samsung smart TVs. This means the TV has the feature; Samsung says it's off unless you agree to it.
