Built-in far-field microphone
No TV micThis model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.
Sony's UK specifications for the K-43 to K-75S25M2 list voice search with a voice remote in the box, but no built-in microphone and no microphone switch, which Sony's UK specifications do list on its sets that have one. The product information sheets say "Voice recognition sensor available: No".
Security vulnerabilities in Google TV
SupportedThis model is still receiving firmware/platform updates.
What that actually means for your TV →
Sony UK's security update table gives a support period ending 9 June 2030 for all five sizes, and Sony UK published firmware v6120900201 for them on 7 October 2026. Sony's product information sheets separately promise software and firmware updates for at least 8 years after the model stops being sold.
Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI
UnverifiedWhether this model runs ACR hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.
What ACR is and how to turn it off →
Sony UK's Samba Interactive TV page lists "Google TV models" as supported, but also says the Samba TV app isn't available on any of its 2025 UK models, so that wording doesn't cover every Google TV model. The page doesn't name 2026 models such as this one either way. If your TV offers Samba Interactive TV, Sony says it's off unless you agree to it, and can be turned off in System Preferences > Samba Interactive TV (the location may differ on your model). Checked 23 Oct 2026.
