Built-in far-field microphone
UnverifiedWhether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.
Vizio's own page for the 65-inch VQD65R-1004 lists a "VIZIO Voice Remote" (remote control XRT290), but its specifications don't say whether the TV itself has a microphone. We couldn't find this series' user manual on vizio.com, so a built-in microphone isn't confirmed either way.
Security vulnerabilities in SmartCast
UnverifiedFirmware support status hasn't been confirmed for this model from a citable source yet.
What that actually means for your TV →
VIZIO's current product pages require an account for product updates, but no model-specific support period or official dated firmware record was found. Ongoing support remains unverified.
Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI
Has ACRThis model has Vizio's ACR feature (branded "Viewing Data"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.
What ACR is and how to turn it off →
Vizio's Viewing Data policy covers "VIZIO OS products", and Vizio's own page for the VQD65R-1004 lists VIZIO OS. The policy says each TV gives you "an opportunity to choose whether to turn on Viewing Data" before collection, and that a factory reset puts it back to "OFF". It gives the setting as All Settings > Privacy & Legal > Viewing Data (All Settings > Admin & Privacy > Viewing Data on older TVs). This means the TV has the feature; Vizio says it's off unless you agree to it.
Looks for other devices on your home network
UnverifiedWhether this model looks for other devices on your home network hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.
How to put a TV on its own network →
No model-specific primary source confirming or ruling out broader local-network device scanning was found for the VQD R-10 family.

SmartCast shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗
