Hisense's official U8N manual says on printed page 16 to use the control button on the bottom of the TV to turn on the microphone, then describes hands-free voice control and Screenless Mode. This directly confirms TV-side microphone hardware without relying on a third-party manual mirror or a different model.

Hisense's February 2025 commitment to "up to 8 years" of software updates applies specifically to its VIDAA platform, which is sold mostly outside the US — this model runs Google TV, a platform Google and Hisense jointly maintain, and no equivalent public update-length commitment for Google TV models could be found. Stays unverified rather than assuming the VIDAA promise carries over.
