Built-in far-field microphone

No TV mic

This model has no built-in far-field microphone — voice control goes through the remote.

What a far-field mic does →

Insignia's own specifications, published on Best Buy (Insignia's owner), list "Microphone Range: Near field" and "Remote Control Type: Voice control" for the 32-inch NS-32F201NA26 (Model Year 2025). A near-field microphone is one you speak into close up (the voice remote), not a far-field array in the TV.

What that actually means for your TV →

Amazon's Software Security Updates page covers Fire TV devices made by Amazon only and doesn't list Insignia. No Insignia support term was found.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has Insignia's ACR feature (branded "Automatic Content Recognition"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

This model runs Fire TV. Amazon's help page says that when ACR is enabled on a Fire TV smart TV, Amazon identifies what you watch through connected devices such as a cable box, and that it is managed at Settings → Preferences → Privacy Settings → Automatic Content Recognition. Amazon doesn't say whether it is on by default.

Fire TV shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗
