Built-in far-field microphone

Unverified

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

Roku's sources disagree. Its comparison table lists "Hands-free voice: Yes" for the Plus Series, with a Voice remote Pro. Roku's TV v15 guide (October 2025) says "Your Roku TV does not have a built-in microphone" and puts the hands-free "Hey Roku" switch on the Voice Remote Pro. But the 2025 quick start guide lists a "Roku TV Remote" in the box. Roku doesn't say where hands-free listening happens on this model. Checked 19 Oct 2026.

What that actually means for your TV →

Roku's TV v15 guide says the TV updates itself automatically, and the 2025 Plus Series quick start guide says the internet connection is needed for automatic software updates. No support end date is given. Checked 19 Oct 2026.

Settings for Roku OS

ACR settings: Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) and Content Viewing Disclosure (US).

Roku OS shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗

Roku OS settings guide: ACR and ads on every brand's Roku OS models → It lists them once for every model with this software. Software updates can reset these settings, so check again after an update.
