Built-in far-field microphone

Unverified

Whether this model has a built-in microphone (beyond the remote) hasn't been confirmed from a citable source yet.

What a far-field mic does →

Roku's comparison table lists "Hands-free voice: Yes" for the Plus Series, with a Voice remote Pro. Roku's TV v15 guide (October 2025, before this model) says "Your Roku TV does not have a built-in microphone" and describes hands-free "Hey Roku" as a switch on the Voice Remote Pro. The 2026 quick start guide lists a "Roku TV Remote" in the box. Roku doesn't say for this model where the hands-free microphone is.

Security vulnerabilities in Roku OS

Supported

This model is still receiving firmware/platform updates.

What that actually means for your TV →

Roku's TV v15 guide says the TV updates itself automatically, and the 2026 quick start guide says the internet connection is needed for automatic software updates. No support end date is given.

Automatic content recognition (ACR), including over HDMI

Has ACR

This model has Roku's ACR feature (branded "Smart TV Experience"), which analyses on-screen content — including over HDMI — to identify what's playing.

What ACR is and how to turn it off →

Roku documents opt-in ACR for live TV and connected inputs under Smart TV experience, offered the first time you use live TV or an input, with a Use info from TV inputs opt-out. The guide says turning it off doesn't delete information already collected. The guide covers Roku TVs generally, not this series by name.

Settings for Roku OS

ACR settings: Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) and Content Viewing Disclosure (US).

Roku OS shows ads in its own menus. They can't be turned off, but there are settings that change how they're personalised. Source ↗

Roku OS settings guide: ACR and ads on every brand's Roku OS models → It lists them once for every model with this software. Software updates can reset these settings, so check again after an update.
